Anna Cardosi, 92

Anna Cardosi, 92, died on April 1, 2013 of gastrointestinal bleeding, the day after Easter Sunday at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va.

Her parents were Michael Giusto and Frances Spoto. Her brothers were Tony Giusto, Domenic Giusto, John Giusto and Joe Giusto, only surviving sibling. Her sisters were Clara Gering, Bernadette Davis and Carmella Hardesty. They resided in Kankakee, Ill. All her brothers and brother in-laws served in the armed forces in WWII. All branches were covered, Marines, Army, Navy and Army Air Corps. Anna married Frank Nataluk from New Brunswick, N.J., in the 1940s Anna became a widow in 1952 and married Dominic Cardosi in 1958. They started The Bridgton Discount Center in September of 1961, which eventually became The Bridgton Trading Post until 1985, at that time the building was torn down and replaced with what is now the Norway Savings Bank. Both Anna and Dominic were active in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bridgton. Anna was known for her great Italian cooking.

She is survived by four sons, Michael Nataluk of Roanoke, Va., Samuel Nataluk of Raymond, Anthony Nataluk of Portland and Donald Scott Cardosi of Ocala, Fla. Anna is survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on April 4, at St. Andrews Church in Roanoke, Va. A graveside service will be held July 20 at 11 a.m. at the Kansas Road cemetery in Bridgton. Arrangements are being handled by Chandler Funeral Home of Bridgton. All are welcome to attend and pay their last respects.
