Ann Hutchins

LOVELL — Ann Marie Hutchins, 66, of Lovell, passed away at her home on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016.

She was born in Somerville, Mass. on Sept. 24, 1949, a first generation Irish girl. Ann was the daughter of Bridie and Jeremiah Sullivan. A single mom of two girls in the 80s, Ann put herself through college to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Ann discovered her calling early in her career and specialized in home health hospice care. In 1991 the Hutchins moved from Framingham, Mass., to Bridgton, where Ann began her career with Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice. Passionate about her patients and their families, Ann was awarded the Androscoggin Home Health Employee of the Year twice, as well as numerous recognitions and awards. She also served on the Ethics committee for her Home Health organization.

Ann loved travel, visiting her ancestral home in Ireland several times. Price and Ann’s road trips across the country were a source of great togetherness for them. Camping with Ann was always sure to provide stories for a lifetime. She was active in Bridgton’s First Congregational Church, loved Moose Pond, Shawnee Peak, and Rangeley.

She leaves behind her husband Price Hutchins of Lovell, two daughters, Regina Brooks and her husband William, Erin Hall and her husband Dana, all of North Andover, Mass.; a son Eli Hutchins of Sweden; a sister Kathleen Ahern and her husband Jack of West Roxbury, Mass.; a brother Jeremiah Sullivan and his wife Diane of Winthrop, Mass., five grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan, Aidan, Hannah and Jameson; and a nephew John J. Ahern. Also, many cousins in Buncrana, County Donegal. She was predeceased by her brother John Sullivan.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m., at the First Congregational Church, Bridgton.
