NEW GLOUCESTER — Anita Rose “Nita” Richardson, 63, of New Gloucester, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014.

She was born June 26, 1951, in Bridgton, daughter of Melvin and Helen Richardson.

She worked as a home health care nurse for several years. This was very satisfying for her, as she was always helping someone. She loved to go to yard sales and play Bingo. To her family, she made the best fudge and was famous for her baked beans. Nita loved her family the most.

Nita leaves three sons, Eric Ray, Tony Ray and Brad Ray, all of New Gloucester; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia Athearn of Bridgton, Betty Skoglund and Susan Davis of Kalispell, Montana, and Brenda Richardson of Bridgton; two brothers, Dennis and David, both of Bridgton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was like a mother to some and a grandmother to others. She enjoyed trips to Bridgton, which were often. She enjoyed listening to Dylan play his guitar.

Nita will be truly missed and will live in our hearts forever.
