SWEDEN, MAINE — Allen R. Howe, 71, a resident of Sweden, formerly of Shrewsbury, Mass., passed away at his home on Nov. 3 after a long illness, with his loving wife Gail by his side. He is survived by his wife Gail, also of Sweden; his five children, Rebecca Henry of Sterling, Mass., Deborah Walsh of Sterling, Mass., Allen R. (Dickie) Howe, II and his wife Elisa of Barre, Mass., Pamela and her husband Bruce Fenn of Barre, Mass., Susanna and her husband Todd Bagdis of Sweden, Maine; his stepchildren, Dawn Meserve of Worcester, Mass. and Steven Meserve of Oakham, Mass.; his sisters, Beverly Salsman of Shrewsbury, Mass. and Faith Livingston of Sterling, Mass.; his brother Paul Howe of Oakham, Mass.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and loving pets Duke and Tandy.
