LUDLOW — Allen James Anthony, 78, died on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Brownfield on Sept. 10, 1935, to Allen D. and Adeline M. Anthony, and attended Brownfield schools.

Mr. Anthony served in the U.S. Marines from 1953–1956. He later worked at Maine Rubber International and S.D. Warren, retiring in 1998.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Jack, Rupert, Pauline and Glenda.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Sharon L. Anthony; five children, Marcia Huffman of Minot, Linda Cox of Auburn, Wanda Cote of Pensacola, Fla., Glenn Anthony of Ludlow, and Holly Forbes of Milton, N.H.; two stepchildren, Lauri Phinney of Limington and Paul Michael Phinney Jr. of Auburn; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
