KILLEEN, TEXAS — Allie died at her home in Killeen, Texas, on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016.

Born on Sept. 25, 1937, in Cape Elizabeth, to Charles W. Odlin and Marie Bowden Odlin, she attended schools in South Portland, graduating from high school there in 1955.

She traveled extensively with her career Army husband, making friends worldwide, with whom she remained in contact throughout her life, which was lived joyfully and filled with her delightful humor. She will be dearly missed.

She was predeceased by her husband, David B. Olvey, U.S. Army retired; and four brothers, Clifford Odlin of Upper Darby, Pa., Charles Odlin of Hiram, Arthur Odlin of South Portland and Douglas Dufor of Windham.

She is survived by three sons, Clinton Kennedy, Douglas (Laura) Olvey and Daniel Olvey, all of Texas; a sister, Claire Randall Odlin of Cape Elizabeth; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins of her large, loving family.

Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 21, at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas, with a funeral service following at her husband’s gravesite, Central Texas Veterans Cemetery, Fort Hood, Texas.
