Albert E. Martin

MONSON — Ed Martin, 61, passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at Lone Pine Farm, on the land that he cherished. Forever by his side were his wife, Marcia (Knight), daughter, Leslie, and son, Aaron.

He was born July 6, 1956 in Bridgton, to the late Beverly (Hilton) Durnakowski and Richard Martin. Ed was stationed in Germany during his service in the U.S. Army. He was employed by many contractors in the Harrison and Monson areas, as well as working in the sawmill at Moosehead Mfg. Co. His favorite “place of employment” was in Chesuncook Village.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by a sister, Denise Knight; and brothers, Alan Martin and Stan Durnakowski. Ed leaves behind his dear aunts, uncles, and many close cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by a brother, Rick.

There will be a graveside gathering at the Hillside Cemetery in Monson on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m.
