Alan E. Eastman, 63
ROCHESTER, N.H. — Alan Edgar Eastman, 63, passed away in Rochester, N.H. after a long illness.
Alan was born in Portland, Maine to Liston Everett Eastman Sr., and Janet Louise (Fadden) Eastman on Nov. 3, 1953.
He grew up in Brunswick and attended Brunswick schools. He was an active athlete during his school days and played baseball and basketball. In his 20s he played racquetball at the Class A level and won many competitions.
In 1988 Alan moved to Rochester, N.H. He was employed as a drywall finisher for more than 30 years. He was a Union member of the IUPAT District council 35 (affiliated with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, AFL-CIO).
Alan was an avid fisherman. The peaceful setting, the independent nature of the sport and the camaraderie of being with his friends and brothers at the end of day were all the reasons why Alan loved fishing. Alan’s favorite fishing tournament was the annual Meredith Rotary Ice Fishing Derby on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Alan was predeceased by his father Liston Everett Eastman Sr. in 2011. He is survived by his mother Janet (Fadden-Eastman) Richardson and her husband Stanley Richardson of Bridgton; a son Nickolas Hammett and granddaughter Aela Hammett of Brunswick; a sister Sharon Belanger of Brunswick; a brother Peter Eastman of Brunswick; a brother Michael Eastman and his partner Ginny Boucher of Bath; a sister Cindy Osgood and her partner Charlie Butt of Harpswell; and a brother Lee Eastman and his partner Holly Loring-Dvorak of Bridgton. Alan had three best friends that were like brothers to him, Mike Davis, Jeff Davis and Bob Lowthian, all of N.H.; and eight nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews.
